Andrews Printing was started in 1948 by Royer Andrews Sr., a journalist who wrote and printed the Harvey NewsBee. Over the years, the concentration grew from the newspaper and letterpress to offset commercial printing.
Current owner, Royer (Sonny) Andrews took over in 1969 and has been running Andrews Printing since. He was joined in 1990 by his son, Richard, who currently works the sales end of the business, while Sonny takes care of production.
Andrews Printing currently employs 13 people with a wide range of skills and many years of experience.
In 1993, Andrews Printing outgrew their original location on 154th Street, and moved to Halsted Street for better exposure and a larger facility. They still, however, maintain their original roots in Harvey, and are one of the oldest businesses in the community.
Royer Andrews was the recipient of the 2006 Business Person of the Year from SSSBA "South Suburban Small Business Association".
